The impact that stroke has had on my life and those around me is HUGE. Although my type of stroke was not preventable, the disability that I live with everyday makes me so passionate to ensure that you never have to endure this. You can prevent stroke!

Tomorrow (2/4/2014)
is a BIG day at the Stroke Foundation; they are launching our Stroke Solidarity String Campaign (see my picture of mine) to increase the profile of Stroke in the community and to get the conversation started about Stroke.

Plus the National Stroke Foundation will be hosting Australia’s BIGGEST Blood Pressure Check in every capital city. Almost 4 million Australians have high blood pressure putting them at serious risk of stroke and most don’t even know it.

There will be free blood pressure checks at Chemmart chemists throughout the county on April 2nd 2014, so pop into your local Chemmart Pharmacy and get your blood pressure tested for free!

So help make an Australian record & make a difference by:
· Taking five minutes out of your day on April 2 to get your blood pressure checked at one of these locations or your local Chemmart Pharmacy
· Buy a stroke solidarity string from your local Chemmart Pharmacy or the National Stroke Foundation Website.
· Get involved in the conversation online. We’ll be posting on www.facebook.com/strokefoundation and on twitter from @strokefdn using the hashtags #fightstroke and #strokesolidarity
Stroke is Australia’s second biggest killer, yet not enough people are talking about it.

Help me raise awareness & do your bit in fighting this killer by playing your part on April 2.Trust me, 5 minutes of your time to get you Blood Pressure taken and $5.00 of your money to buy & wear a Solidarity String is nothing when your faced with a lifetime of disability like me!
