Do you know that it’s National Stroke Week?

An entire week that aims to encourage the community to know the F.A.S.T. (Face, Arms, Speech and Time) signs of stroke so that they can save a life.

Stroke Foundation recommends the F.A.S.T. test as an easy way to remember the most common signs of stroke. Using the F.A.S.T. test involves asking these simple questions:
Face Check their face. Has their mouth drooped?
Arms Can they lift both arms?
Speech Is their speech slurred? Do they understand you?
Time Is critical. If you see any of these signs call 000 straight away.

Having a stroke myself is something that I have grappled with now for 20 years. The physical and emotional impacts are beyond HUGE. Knowing the signs of stroke could’ve prevented this.

How can you change your life or others by learning the FAST signs?
