Walking without my frame is something that still doesn’t come easy, even 20 years after my stroke.
In this video you can see what my weekly physio sessions look like. Step by step I continue to relearn and rebuild whilst pushing through things that aren’t visible. Things that are present below the surface like pain and fatigue.
Today was especially tough. My body was already exhausted, my arms were sore, and every step felt heavier than usual. But I showed up anyway because this is how I keep going. I know that I need to continue to manage my strength, mobility, balance and independence.
The invisible side of stroke is real but so is the resilience it builds.
Im grateful for the support beside me, keeping me accountable and moving forward through my continuous rehab.
