It is with immense sadness that I share the news that my beloved little furry companion and loyal side-kick passed last week at 14 years of age.
Gilbert was my motivation and a constant loyal figure throughout my stroke recovery. He enabled me to adapt my lifestyle and learn how to reinvent myself. Things were so much more possible with him by my side.
I will always be so grateful for him in my life. I know that he helped me try and make a difference. I have donated books to the stroke foundation on his behalf so that his legacy can hopefully continue to impact.
