I’m excited to share with you all that I’ll be holding a few workshops addressing pain management and the gender pain gap.
These workshops will be online and facilitated by me.
I’ll be working with Safer Care Victoria and The Stroke Foundation to run a series of workshops in bringing to light just how debilitating pain is, specifically in women who experience dismissal of their pain daily from medical practitioners.
Since my stroke, pain has been constant in my life, though invisible. I’m really passionate to explore how others have been able to manage their pain. These workshops aim to raise awareness and understanding and enhance the future care of people who encounter constant pain.
We are asking women and girls to share their experiences, in their own words. We have had an amazing response and have filled all the positions available.
I’ll be writing next few week about my own pain experience and what I learnt in facilitating this workshop!
