Today unable to weight bear easily on my walking frame with my sore left wrist, I was still keen to move to manage my other nerve pain.
But after a few lengths of my local park’s cricket pitch I realised that by not swinging my sore arm, my balance, nerve pain and speed was worse. So, I chose to use my sore limb. Although this movement definitely made my arm ache, it did significantly help my other pain.
Sometimes in life there are no good options – wrist pain or nerve pain, sort the washing or do the dishwasher, pay to get your car towed or cop a fine! But, remember, as awful as it may seem, we still have a choice!
So next time your deciding between two pretty dismal options, rather than becoming bogged down in the injustice of the situation you’re in, choose one – feelings of empowerment will sky rocket!
